Welcome to our new lesson starter platform.

CREATE A USER ACCOUNT

You do not have to create a user account to ‘find and play’ any of the Lesson Starters, but if you do you will unlock additional functionality to make it easier for you to use them as part of your teaching practice, such as…

  • Creating a ‘Favourites List' of those that 'catch your eye’ so that they are all in the one place for actioning.

  • Adding  your chosen Lesson Starters to a Diary to schedule them for a specific class and date.

You can also leave feedback on the Lesson Starer Platform using the Feedback option on the User menu.

LESSON STARTER TEACHING DIARY [LOGGED-IN USERS ONLY]

The Diary feature - which is very much in the early stages of development - allows you to….

  • SCHEDULE an individual Lesson Starter by assigning it to a specific date.

  • LABEL the Lesson Starter Diary entry with a Class Name.

  • ORDER the Lesson Starter Diary entries within a chosen day by dragging them within the assigned day column (thus you can put them in the order in which you will be using them that day).

  • RE-SCHEDULE Lesson Starter Diary entries by dragging them between days.

Lesson Starters can be added to the Diary in 2 ways…

  1. From the individual Lesson Starter’s page - Click the Diary icon in the top right. Fill in the date you want to use your Lesson Starter. Add a class Name, which will be displayed on the Diary entry along with the title. Click 'Add to Diary'. A message will flash up that the Lesson Starter has been added to your Diary.

  2. From the Diary page itself - Select the Diary option from the User menu. Scroll to the week where you want to add your Lesson Starter (the Diary display shows ‘this week’ by default). Click on the + icon at the bottom of the column of the day you want. Fill in the wizard - select the Lesson Starter you want from the drop-down list of your favourites. Add a class Name, which will be displayed on the Diary entry along with the title. Click 'Add to Diary'. A message will flash up that the Lesson Starter has been added to your Diary.

Lesson Starter entries can be re-scheduled between days and re-ordered within days by simply dragging and dropping them on the Diary page.
